About Wellness Policy
In order to insure a safe, healthy environment for our children, we
request that parents take the responsibility for making sure their
children are well before coming to church.
It is the recommendation of the Committee on Control of Infectious
Diseases of American Academy of Pediatrics, that a child should not be
taken from the home when any of the following exist:
- Fever
- Vomiting or Diarrhea
- Any symptoms of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox, or whooping cough
- Sore throat
- Croup
- Any unexplained rash
- Any skin infection
- Pink eye or other eye infection
- Head lice
We ask that a child be free of fever for 24 hours before coming back to church. When in doubt, please apply the Golden Rule.
Children who appear ill during a session will be isolated and the parents will be called.
If your child does contract a
childhood disease following a session in the preschool division, please
inform the Children’s Ministry office.
Neither teachers or employees are allowed to give any medication to any child in the preschool area. This includes creams.
Make sure that the teachers are aware of any allergies your child has.
