Attend Special Events
Definitions:
Throughout
the year Southcliff has events intended to challenge your faith and to
grow your relationship with Christ. These special events are designed
for a wide range of ages and interests.
Summer camps for children * who have completed 3rd grade through 6th grades. These camps are a week of fun activities with other children
throughout the DFW area that also feature how much God loves them and
how they can love God more.
Summer camps for students * who have completed 6th grade through High School. This camp is a week of fun activities
designed with teens in mind featuring how to better live a life that
shows love for God.
Retreats and trips * for young adults, grow groups, women
and men of ages occur throughout the year and are a great way to not
only connect with other like-minded adults but draw you closer to
Christ.
Share Days: On these days, activities are created that your
children and family can use to meet the needs of people right in your
own community. These events are simple, rather quick, and child-friendly
and are scheduled several times a year.
Game Days: These are held in local parks where the
Children's Ministry hosts a field game such as kickball, soccer, etc.,
that you and your family can attend. Other park visitors, both children
and their families, that are there at the time are invited to join the
activities. While the children from Southcliff are having fun playing
games and sharing God’s love with the invited children, all family
members can be chatting together. This is a great way to begin
conversations with neighborhood folks who may need encouragement to grow
 their relationship with Christ.
Feast of Booths is a special day for the whole church family
to celebrate this biblical holiday. It’s an outdoor time of worship,
dance, games, and food.  We even build and decorate a sukkah (booth) together!
Singing Christmas Tree performance at Christmas time each
year Southcliff provides a celebration performance for the whole
community that helps us focus on Jesus’ birth.
Scripture:
Hebrews 10:22-25
“Let us draw near to God with a sincere
heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts
sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies
washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,
for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur
one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting
together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one
another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching"
